Oct 26th, 2009. No Mill Road Tesco Beer. Problem Area, Cambridge. I finally discovered that Tesco's On Mill Road is open after all (I'm slow with the news), after the long battle. And very convenient it is. I couldn't help thinking that something seemed missing from the store - yes indeed, Tesco's has been refused an alcohol licence. Is this sort of thing common? Tesco On Mill Road. Over the last few months, I've seen a few posters up around near here, campaigning against Tesco's plan to open a store on my road. It turns out they also have a website. And have organised marches and even benefit gigs. Meanwhile, I'm thinking actually it might be nice to more choice of food, without having to walk quite as far. Half cup of cous cous (medium)*. Half cup of vegetable stock*. 260g can of chickpeas*. As many sundried tomatoes as you can place along the diagonal of the chopping board* *. A great many teaspoons of harissa. Some mixed herbs of some kind.* *. Some leftover dried apricots. Note - these must be bang on identical by volume.
