NomNomNom! - A food blog: Chestnut and Pancetta Risotto
http://nomnomnom-eats.blogspot.com/2010/12/chestnut-and-pancetta-risotto.html
Sticky, gooey adventures in foodland! Monday, December 6, 2010. Chestnut and Pancetta Risotto. I wont mention the weather if you don't. On a lighter and more delicious note it's the festive season and if you're like me this means that the little voice in your head that normally says "you probably shouldn't" now slurs in your ear "you most definitely should". Chestnut and Pancetta Risotto. Serves 1 hungry person. 75g Risotto rice (Arborio for me). 50g Pancetta, cubed. 75g Vac Packed Chestnuts. Heat the ga...
NomNomNom! - A food blog: Something for the weekend
http://nomnomnom-eats.blogspot.com/2010/07/something-for-weekend.html
Sticky, gooey adventures in foodland! Thursday, July 22, 2010. Something for the weekend. I came across a couple of interesting recipes today during the daily blog catch up. Firstly, on the word of mouth blog the lovely Felicity Cloakes is trying and testing chocolate mousse recipes. I've yet to make a mousse I was pleased with so I'm going to give it a go over the weekend. Secondly, via Boing Boing. Your source for all things nerdtastic, a really cool recipe for banana ice cream. July 29, 2010 at 9:35 PM.

http://nomnomnom-eats.blogspot.com/2010/07/saturday-afternoon-ftw.html
Sticky, gooey adventures in foodland! Saturday, July 24, 2010. Slept until half one this afternoon. Tidy. Then had some french toast for breakfast(lunch? 1 large egg, a dash of milk, a little vanilla essence all whisked together. Dipped two slices of bread in the mix. Fried them in butter until nice and brown. Served with obscene amounts of maple syrup. Hurray for lazy Saturdays! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). NomNomNom! - A food blog: A simple supper of leftovers
http://nomnomnom-eats.blogspot.com/2010/07/simple-supper-of-leftovers.html
Sticky, gooey adventures in foodland! Sunday, July 25, 2010. A simple supper of leftovers. Ahoy ahoy fellow foodies! I hope your Sunday has been as lazy and uneventful as mine. I'm thinking of making some fairy cakes later, it feels like that kind of evening, some baking and wine and of course some TV. 1 large egg yolk. 2 large cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped. 1/2 tsp of mustard (I used English mustard). A good dash of black pepper from the mill. 130 ml of vegetable oil. Place your oil into a jug&#...

Sticky, gooey adventures in foodland! Sunday, July 25, 2010. As I mentioned earlier in the week, the Word of Mouth Blog. Have been trying out chocolate mousse recipes. I made some yesterday, using Felicity Cloakes recipe, with a few added extras - a tsp of strong coffee and a grating of nutmeg in the mix and once again over the set mousse. The recipe makes 2 mousses. Some raspberries sprinkled over the top wouldn't be bad thing either methinks. A simple supper of leftovers. Ahoy ahoy fellow foodies!

Fetch the Mont Blanc, I feel a letter to the Times coming on! Readers of Ross O’Carroll Kelly will hopefully appreciate the reference and hence the urgent need to inform the public of the sham that is Tribeca. The hot sauce was nice and the blue cheese dip was good- neither were overpowering. The wings were on the small side,...

Omnivorous Cravings | In Pursuit of Gastronomy, Aristology, and Hedonism
In Pursuit of Gastronomy, Aristology, and Hedonism. I, for one, welcome our seasonal dark overlords. September 5, 2016. Another summer is on its way out. Even in Oregon, where locals continue to insist it never gets hot enough for air conditioning, I find summer’s cheery disposition has overstayed its welcome shortly after my birthday in mid-August. I crave silence, darkness, and cool. Is also not a home cooking pursuit where we live. These things put a kink in what remains of my kitchen rhythm. That I c...

NomNomNom - Food and Other Yummy Stuff. Musings on food from a non-cooking foodie. Wednesday, October 13, 2010. I wouldn’t say I’m a world traveler or a gourmand by any means, but I have certainly eaten in enough places to know that some of the best food can be found in places other than fine dining establishments. Food trucks, airports, holes-in-the-wall kiosks—you can get some damn fine eats in some unexpected places. Noodles for the Soul. Provided I can find the joint, that is. So we turned to…. I stu...

I've been at a crossroads for most of 2010. After being laid off at the beginning of the year, I had a lot of time to think about my next move in life. Should I continue with Marketing? Do I want to stay in the tourism industry? Am I good at what I do? Does this make me happy? I went through the usual rollercoaster of emotions, but the one thing that has kept me grounded throughout the whole thing was my sweet tooth - my sugar high! View my complete profile.
