#KortnisLife: March 2015
http://hashtagkortnislife.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A blog of what makes my world go 'round! Just a little perspective. #twothings. Coco Chanel knew a thing or two. Sometimes it takes a rough day to put things in perspective. It is so easy to allow our insecurities to rule us! Think of all the times you have wanted to do or say something, but didn't follow through. Where would we be if we were able to accomplish the small stuff? How many life changing experiences have we missed out on because of our doubts? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A blog of what makes my world go 'round! A Year of Firsts. #anotheryeardown. Starting at a new company, being the new girl. not something I am very used to. This year, I came to terms with my anxiety. I learned that you can't always do things on your own and it's okay to ask for, accept, and receive help. The biggest lesson I learned is what inspired this post. Since last year was full of firsts, I'm looking at 32 as a year for second chances and second beginnings. So long 31! Links to this post.

A blog of what makes my world go 'round! Emotional Smackdown 2013 #chchchanges. If you've ever seen Elf, which I finally have, the best way to describe how I am feeling right now and what I am about to do can be summed up in one scene. You know when Buddy sees the escalator for the first time? Now I know this all seems very cryptic, so allow me to explain. I once read that when you write something down and tell others, you are more likely to be successful in making a change. To quote one of my be...And g...

A blog of what makes my world go 'round! Silver linings. #gethappy. Hopping up on my soapbox*. It's been a few months, so I decided that it's time to write a post. Last week I was talking with one of my favorite people on God's green earth about how we have so much to be grateful for. I'm not going to lie- life isn't perfect and it's not always easy to find the silver lining, but isn't it so much better when we choose to be happy? I GET to be happy. So I decided to take this another step further. AboutMe...

A blog of what makes my world go 'round! A love letter. #gratitude. Usually when someone writes a love letter it's full of romantic notions, fabulous memories, and descriptions of eyes/lips/hearts, and the like. This is a different kind of love letter. probably as equally cheesy as the aforementioned but a bit unorthodox. This love letter is dedicated to my family and friends. I am sooooooo grateful for the continuous love, support, kindness, friendship, and warmth shown to me. It is overwhelming!

A blog of what makes my world go 'round! Bulls Will Charge. #nevertroublefree. As someone who thrives on being in control and keeping busy, things could not seem worse. These past 5 weeks have brought some of the most trying circumstances I have had to face, but through it all I have not felt worried about the outcome nor have I felt alone. I have really learned to rely on my faith that everything happens for a reason and that no matter what I am not alone. The title of this chapter will be:. View my com...

A blog of what makes my world go 'round! Forgiveness.is more than saying sorry! This is not a typical Kortni post y'all. I might get a bit churchy here. Just wanted to give you some fair warning :). That would be so awful and just hurtful. so why do we treat ourselves any differently? When I think about the time I have spent making myself feel even worse about things that have happened, it makes me wish I could fit a nap in. Once I started to view myself in a third person sense, I have been able to stop ...

A blog of what makes my world go 'round! Poetry. Not just for poets! Sorry if My posts have seemed too churchy/preachy lately! I've had a lot of time to reflect on some of the things that happened in my life last year. When I'm processing things, I tend to write. These are two poems that I feel ready to share. Deafening silence in chaotic noise,. Missing savored moments of peace and joy. Heart breaking, soul crushing, feeling all alone. Wishing I could run, feeling weighed down by stones. You made me rea...
