I finished up Ironman with a bag of Cheetos. This is it: Ironman Kentucky 2011. This gem is me on the bike, on the way to a 1:09:16 TT in Chicago. Fifth in my age group on a 90s lugged steel Botecchia with speed bars. Yes, those are carbon wheels on that bike. Me (just don’t be a smart ass and go asking about the run). I spend a significant portion of my life training. I want to do well. Saturday, December 12, 2009. I am neglecting my blog. Josh had surgery on his shoulder 10 days ago. He's making huge steps in his recovery, starts physical therapy in 2 weeks and can ditch the sling in 3 weeks. My training is going well. It's pretty nice right now, nothing too hard. Saturday, October 3, 2009. Anyway, I managed to finish 11th in the minor final, which pretty much sucked. I know exactly what I did wrong. I had a plan when the race started and just didn't stick to it. Oh well. It's just another learning experience. Today is the Points Race. I'm not sure if I'm going to race.
