Finally got the thumbs-up from the Met Council today, although the plan approved lacks niceties like a tunnel under the U of M. Rybak wants to transform the dull-but-improving Washington Avenue into a pedestrian-friendly, tree-lined boulevard. That could act as the Mill City's version of the Avenue des Champs Elysées in Paris. Uh, right. Best of luck with that (seriously! The AIA Minnesota has a page up on the project. And just launched a blog on it.
