The sometimes unintelligible, esoteric, vague, absurd or pretentious drivel of a self-proclaimed engineering geek. Monday, March 28, 2005. Like we said, first comes A for Ariel, and then B for Braden, and now. C - for Connor Andrew [chinese name TBD] Li. We like the name Connor so much that we couldn't NOT use it, and then Andrew is named for my father - Ned. So his initials (without the Chinese name) will be CAL - not unlike his first cousin Calvin. :D. Isn't that just perfect? Here we go again!
Nonsensical Geekitude: May 2004
http://nonsensicalgeekitude.blogspot.com/2004_05_01_archive.html
The sometimes unintelligible, esoteric, vague, absurd or pretentious drivel of a self-proclaimed engineering geek. Friday, May 14, 2004. Useless Mutant Ability #1554. UMA: #1554 - Ability to discern make/model of vehicles within 0.2 milliseconds of seeing them. I must say that I can probably pick out the make/model of nearly any vehicle on the road simply by glancing at them. Is this a guy thing? Is this seemingly innate useless ability to know stuff about "cars" a guy thing? Thursday, May 13, 2004.

So after seeing a nice summary my friend Chel (from gingerblue.com. Posted a while back on her blog, it sort of inspired me to start writing again. Nonsensical Geekitude: September 2004
http://nonsensicalgeekitude.blogspot.com/2004_09_01_archive.html
The sometimes unintelligible, esoteric, vague, absurd or pretentious drivel of a self-proclaimed engineering geek. Sunday, September 19, 2004. SoCal - A place of wonderment and beauty. Dare I say - SoCal is a pretty dang cool place? I came, I gave a couple of fencing lessons, and I kicked some fencing butt. Glad to see that my kick-ass mad fencing skillz haven't atrophied too badly during my nearly ten year hiatus from fencing. Looking into picking the sport back up here in LR. I had to see what the rave...

http://nonsensicalgeekitude.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
The sometimes unintelligible, esoteric, vague, absurd or pretentious drivel of a self-proclaimed engineering geek. Wednesday, August 18, 2004. We spent a good part of the afternoon on Monday at the National Zoo. In Washington DC. We got to see lions, tigers, and bears (oh my! Still enjoying my vacation immensely, however today is one of those agenda-packed days. Jen and I are going to try and hit the Whole Foods Market. Which my dad got us tickets for as an early birthday present). Sunday, August 15, 2004.

Tuesday 21st April 2015. Geranium in the garden. What’s going on around here:. I think this might be more of a brain-dump kinda post than my usual “Around Here” posts. On Blogging/Online Journaling…. I really want to update this blog more, but I always sort of put it off because I feel like the posts have to follow a specific format, or be about *something* rather than me blathering about what’s going on or what I’m thinking about. 8230; which might be why I have been reconsidering The 100 Days Project.

Nonsensical Essentials (and other such gibberish)
Nonsensical Essentials (and other such gibberish). Tuesday, May 12, 2015. The Silent, Dream-Stealing Monster. Depression is a funny thing. And when I say funny, I mean the furthest thing from. For me it presents as a silent, vile, soul-sucking, dream-stealing demon that I’m unable to see until it’s devoured everything that makes me happy. You know those profile details you put on every social media account that lists your interests. Think of your top three. Do they make you smile? 8221; And worst of all,...

The ramblings of a madman… in the form of stories that are short…. More than you need to know about Josh. Being Pert. Pt 2. July 24, 2013 – 5:25 pm. Posted in Being Pert. I lost track of time. One beer to calm me down had quickly turned into an alcoholic white water rafting trip, ending in the Lagoon of Self-Destructive Tendencies. Just slightly west of the pit of despair. I looked at Jeremy. As usual he had amassed a group of strangers, curious to understand how such a broken creature could survive,...

Friday, November 15, 2013. Several trips to the vet, syringes full of medicine, water and mushy food to get him even the littlest nutrition. We've been sitting by his litter box for hours, holding hands, watching him shake and strain to pee. We've counted all the little dots of his urine, shoved muscle relaxers into his little mouth, and helped him onto his pillow when he couldn't make it himself. I think I have spent the last 48 hours saying goodbye, smelling his fur, telling him I'm sorry. I am now a f...

Tell you what gets firmly on my non-gender specific wick, society’s knack of forever ramming gender roles into everyone’s faces. And therefore what you should or should not like based on what set of genital components you may or may not have. Or choose to identify with for that matter. To play with something? Want to do something, wear something or play with someone, nobody should be telling you.

Monday, December 5, 2011. I came across a quote that I thought was very accurate and appropriate, especially during this time of year:. We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Be Who You Are. Be who you are, and say what you feel, because those that mind don’t matter and those that matter don’t mind. - Dr. Seuss. Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Family: A Year of Change.
