Tuesday, April 3, 2012. So we made some ice cream awhile back for a birthday. BTW if you make your own ice cream have you tried the recipe using sweetened condensed milk. It's the creamiest and easiest by far and the variation of mix-ins is endless. We have an ice cream machine, however apparently there's a method you can use to make it without one! Back to the story.I suppose if you didn't go the machine route you wouldn't be able to get it all over your face as you clean off the appliance.

Sunday, September 23, 2012. Saturday mornings the girls like to tag along with Dad to go fishing and today Sarah and I tagged along too. They started out watching intently and wanting to touch every fish caught. Occasionally they wanted to try to fish, but most of the time they just ran around. Sarah spent a lot of time exploring leaves and practicing her walking. And I chased the girls around and tried to get them to hold still for some pictures. Links to this post. Thursday, September 25, 2014. The location of the hotel was perfect! Hunger drove us to find a place to eat and get some much craved for Chinese food. We found Jade Dynasty that served dim sum and pigged out! It was so good! Vancouver has the second largest Chinatown in North America, second to San Francisco. We really enjoyed some great food and not having to deal with kids as we ate. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back two more times during our stay! We caught a free bus across from our hote...

Thursday, July 31, 2014. What happened to July? We spent almost the whole month of July going to swimming lessons. The boys did 2 sessions back to back. They learned so much and had a great time. Rebecca helped herself to Eric's sandwich one day. It was cute. So was her first time in a swing. They're all growing up too fast! Oh and I had another birthday. No fuss. No fanfare. Saturday, October 26, 2013. Playing Brown Bear with M&Ms. They rolled the dice and the number they get corresponds with a animal from the book, which they then get to eat an M&M of that color. Only down side was that we didn't have any purple M&Ms so anytime they got a 3 they couldn't eat anything. Next time I need to put the orange goldfish there. Friday, October 10, 2014. We have a tradition that happened by accident. Long ago William had a loose tooth, his second one. He was being a wimp about it so Eric asked if Matthew could pull it out. William said "Sure. He's not that strong." Well Matthew came right up, reached in and yanked that tooth out! So when Matthew's second tooth was loose it was Samuel's turn. Monday, May 13, 2013. In packing stuff up, I've uncovered some treasures. This guy had been played with and I had to reattach the foot. This was handstitched by my youngest brother. He was maybe 11 or 12 at the time. He made all of his siblings stuffed creatures. He knew I loved cows, especially dairy cows. Still love them.
