Counting Duck Makes Stuff. Almost) FO: Baby monsters! FO: Klein bottle →. September 27, 2008. Here’s one of those big slow projects I’ve been making intermittent progress on. In fact, the monster yarn was stolen from the box of things belonging to this vest. That’s officially alright, though; the crocheting is done with plenty of yarn (and in fact a few loose crocheted pieces) left over. This entry was posted in project. Almost) FO: Baby monsters! Counting Duck Makes Stuff. This post brought to you by the Uptown Knitters’ Group. Almost) FO: Baby monsters! Getting back into the swing of things. September 1, 2008. School starts in three weeks. Exams are in two. Group review sessions, organized by us, the folks who need to review, started for me today. Yes, Labor Day. I’ve got enough to do, and enough structure to do it in, for the first time in weeks. So today I brought home a loom. This entry was posted in blather. Almost) FO: Baby monsters! As bri...

Counting Duck Makes Stuff. A suspicious amount of activity. Getting back into the swing of things →. This post brought to you by the Uptown Knitters’ Group. August 21, 2008. Anyhow, they bring you some spinning:. And some progress on stockings:. The spinning, on the other hand, occurred at home, inspired by conversation about one group member teaching others to spin on a top-whorl drop spindle. I want someone to teach me! I am definitely more inefficient than necessary, and that is in part because I lear...

JANICE ROSEMA: September 2012
http://janicerosema.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 23, 2012. Extreme long locks hand spun yarns. The yarns shown here are a group of extreme long locks spinning created from glorious fleeces from Namaste Farms (Natalie Redding) in Temecula California. There are several skeins of Wensleydale wool which run from 7 inches and a few that are 12 inches long. Additionally, the Teeswater wool skeins are 12-14 inches in length and look spectacular. They are all very soft to the touch and yardages range from 2 yards up to 15 yards. Also, I've go...

JANICE ROSEMA: December 2011
http://janicerosema.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 22, 2011. Spinning, designing and knitting as well as crocheting. It feels like I have been silent too long. Life has been an adventure as my computer died the death of a thousand screams! It has been quite a journey trying to reconstruct everything. I thought I had it all saved on disks - WRONG! Yikes, slow but sure, I am getting it back together. Our wild little kitten Karma has been busy too - she managed to topple over the Christmas tree and scatter things everywhere! Additionally,...

JANICE ROSEMA: More yarns and Wonderful Waldorf Dolls
http://janicerosema.blogspot.com/2012/09/more-yarns-and-wonderful-waldorf-dolls.html
Monday, September 17, 2012. More yarns and Wonderful Waldorf Dolls. It always gives me a thrill to see what people do with the yarns they purchase from me. A lot goes for knitting, crocheting, weaving and other handcrafts. One of my favorite uses are using it for doll hair. Here are some outstanding examples of Waldorf dolls made with my textured cores pun yarn. Aren't they just darling? They are created by Jean Wagner who sells her dolls on Etsy and is also on Facebook as Tigerlilys. Thoughts of a woman...

Counting Duck Makes Stuff. I return to the blogging. →. December 13, 2008. I finished this awhile ago, but didn’t get around to posting. It’s warm enough, I think. It has a lining. But I like the colors and the pointy top and the shape of it on is pretty good. I get compliments. I’m just wishing it were a bit bigger and mathier. Next time I’ll plan ahead better. Counting Duck Makes Stuff. Getting back into the swing of things. WIP: patchwork vest →. Almost) FO: Baby monsters! September 25, 2008. Well, I was sitting there studying for my exams, and overwhelmed with the urge to make something fast. And easy. And which I could do without impairing my simultaneous reading of notes. So I gave in to the urge to appropriate yarn from another, still unfinished, project, and start one of Kate Kuckro’s Toasty Pocket Creatures. Here’s the details:. Needles: Size 5 dpns.

Patterns | Counting Duck Makes Stuff
https://andryl.wordpress.com/patterns
Counting Duck Makes Stuff. A pattern for stranded mittens, with an abstract motif incorporating hearts on the back of the hand, and loving little pictures below a geometric pattern on the palms. The style is pretty narrative, and because it is a one-size colorwork chart, you should be comfortable figuring out for yourself how large you want the mittens and getting an appropriate gauge.
