Monday, June 16, 2008. I'll Have That Typeface on the Menu. BURKE / TRIOLO PRODUCTIONS / BRAND X / CORBIS. So the past week my relatives have been bugging me about redoing the menu for them. They own several fast food restaurants. I have done many phases of development for the menu, but nothing quite seem right. So i gave them back their menu and said "its fine the way it is". Sunday, May 25, 2008. We took logo quizzes in class and the "recycling logo" came up. We stopped and ponder about the origin of the logo and connotation as a symbol. So over at designobserver.com. They took it a step further. It was part of a project at the North Carolina University of Design. They took the research and implemented a strategy to educate the locals about the symbol. So last quarter I took advanced photograph class. We had a quarter long project/portfolio to do. So thinking I was all bad ass and stuff i wanted to incorporate editorial design in photograph. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Schedules, colors, and everything in between. On going struggle to find whats right and wrong as far as design for the career development center. Being able to work on your own concepts for different promotional stuff is great. Time on the other hand will not allow me. Time is important for all designers, it gives us a way to research and develop fully to convey a certain information properly. For the next few weeks or so. Just beware of me! Monday, February 23, 2009. PIcture worth a thousand words. So last quarter I took advanced photograph class. We had a quarter long project/portfolio to do. So thinking I was all bad ass and stuff i wanted to incorporate editorial design in photograph. You have your basic headline picture and headline.and maybe 2-3 columns of text. Great map but it is difficult to really see the information in the map with the thick line design that to my understanding attempts to make the information stand out more. They could probably tone down the stroke line down to 1 or 2 point. Such a simple change can make this map design a success. What an interesting map design. February 22, 2009 at 7:47 PM.
