Sweet chestnuts, cooked and chopped. These can be fresh, frozen, tinned or vacuum packed. 1 table spoon of olive oil. Cook the Brussels sprouts in salted water until just tender. Don’t over-cook. Put the lardons in a large frying pan with the oil, and fry until crispy. Remove from the pan and leave somewhere warm. Add the sweet chestnuts and sprouts to the oil and toss them together. Alpacas are quadrupeds originating in the Andes but they thrive in Europe on good pasture land, a standard concentrate supplement, fresh water and a waterproof shelter. They grow beautiful thick wool coats so need regular shearing, like sheep, but unlike sheep the fleece contains no lanolin. The wool is fantastic for knitting, felting and other wool crafts. The D-Day and the Crowd Project. This web site has been established to support the D-Day and the Crowd project, which is working to "excavate" and exploit some of the millions of photographs and post cards collected from British citizens by the UK Admiralty during World War II, and used in the planning of the D-Day invasion. The Normandy invasion on D-Day, the 6th of June 1944. A disastrous reconnaissance in force that resulted in over 3,600 men killed, wounded or captured.
