Thursday, August 25, 2011. Baby Emily finally arrived early Wednesday morning at 4:43. She weighs 7 lbs 4 oz and is 20 inches long. We're so excited that she's here! Thursday, August 11, 2011. My favorite thing every year was our family trip to Balboa Island (right by New Port Beach). It's been a while, but after a 12 year absence we finally returned and it couldn't have been more perfect. Bathing Beauty, and yes we still have the Binky. Waking up to these 3 every morning was delightful. What's On My Menu.

Sunday, January 22, 2012. I'm a little behind, but here's what happened in December: We blessed Emily on the 4 th. Emily is still as patient as ever with her sisters who constantly. Kiss her, sit on her, and put things on her. Despite the lack of snowfall in December the girls still managed to go sledding in our backyard. Jane had her 3rd birthday on the 12 th. We went to Temple Square with my brother and his family to see the lights. Katelyn got the purple lipstick she asked Santa for for Christmas.

Waking up to these 3 every morning was delightful. Building a sand castle with Uncle Patrick, the best Uncle ever. The ferry ride with Grandma. The whole family, plus our honorary sibling John. Monday, May 16, 2011. It's been a busy month. Katelyn turned 4 and celebrated by having a pirate party (just want every little girl wants). We had 20 kids at the party and 3 adults, but besides a few cake and ice cream spills all went well and Katelyn loved it! The girls also had their first dance recitals and I couldn't have been more proud of my beautiful dancers. And of course there was Easter! And finally a trip to St. George, where we were reminded that the sun does still exist. What a great month!

Now I'm remembering why I dislike winter so much. But at least we had one thing that made the whole month worth it. We found out that we get to welcome this little one in August! Sunday, November 6, 2011. Wow, October was a busy month. We made a trip to California to introduce Emily to GG and Papa. And while we were there we had to squeeze in a trip to Disneyland and a visit with our cousins. One of my good friends got married up in Sundance, which made for a fun date without any kiddos.
