I have seen it a few times in the area in the last couple of days. I think the most likely scenario is that one of the pair has died. The nest is still empty. I think that the large bird skull fragment I found was from one of the pair. If this is in fact true, then I hope the remaining bird can find a new mate. May 3, 2013. April 1, 2013.
