Norm Macdonald was first elected as the MLA for Columbia River - Revelstoke on May 17th, 2005, and re-elected on May 12th, 2009 and May 14th, 2013. Norm is the Opposition Critic for Energy and Mines. Prior to his election, Norm was the principal of Nicholson Elementary, a small rural school outside of Golden. Norm has taught for more than 15 years in the Columbia Valley. Norm also spent a total of 6 years teaching in Africa where he also. Coached basketball and soccer and led student hikes up Kilimanjaro.
