Just Amanda: October 2008
http://amandamakestrouble.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 19, 2008. Social Networks: Are you in? We've all heard the phrases, "Everyone's doing it", or "Anyone who's anyone will be there". To me, these cliches epitomize the world of social networks. Though the social networks I'm talking about are the posh "electronic type", people (PR people especially) have been taking advantage of social networks for years. Like any other newfangaled form of Internet media, there are pros and cons of using social networks. MySpace, in particular, has many...

Many moons ago- alright, maybe two weeks ago- I wasn't really for sure what a podcast was. Have I used it? Have I seen one? Do I have to have an iPod? November 24, 2008 at 5:36 PM. Monday, December 1, 2008. Missouri State University has recently taken the next step to get cozy with the "in crowd" who make use of online social networks. Monday, December 8, 2008. Can I get a Tweet Tweet. Cahill identified five ways a company could increase buisness with Twitter. Interestingly, the five functions identified by Cahill are not revoltionary or new buisness practices. Most companies already incorporate these functions in their day to day operations. http://maggie-com639.blogspot.com/2008/10/violent-desires-for-press-releases.html
Monday, October 27, 2008. Violent Desires for Press Releases. After reading Tom Foremski's blog (Die! Die), I feel I should hate traditional press releases. His inflammatory post called for a standardized format for media news releases (or social news releases). I mean, in some degree it is the PR professiona...
