We took our time in the morning - it's great to have no stress nor a busy schedule. Breakfast consisted of the usual proteins. THE ULTIMATE LONG DISTANCE RACE. Tuesday, 9 August 2011. SWIM - the numbers:. 1:07:49 - 13th position. Time of the overall winner: 59:24. Swim times were long due to the current in the fjord. The course was shortened after 150 competitors finished the swim due to strong waves. 20 athletes didn't make the cut-off time. The night before the race was very short - we got up at 2 am. Before the swim you can't eat much and only light stuff - some porridge with sugar cinnamon had to be enough. 2 Hours to go.

Thank you all for your comments notes before, during or after the race. Anybody interested to participate next year let me know :-). I'm now on my flight back from Oslo. Norseman was a great experience and definetely the best race ever. You prepare for 9 months expecting something special and the hardest triathlon out there.
