North Watford History Group. North Watford is no different to any other area in that there has to be some form of communication with other places. Goods, livestock and people need to be transported in and out of the area as easily as possible. Most towns and cities are sited on or near a river, and water that is the medium for the earliest transport routes. Leavesden Road in 1901. North Watford History Group. 13 Apr 2013 — General meeting and project kick-off. This meeting will be start of a new project to research the history of the Co-Operative movement in North Watford. The first step is to establish what resources we already have. We know that many local people have worked for or been customers of the Co-Op. One and a half hours should be allowed for the meeting. Sunday, April 2, 2017. After an attempt to explore Red Rock Canyon today (parking lot full? Then an attempt to explore Spring Mountain (parking lot also full) we landed at Bonnie Springs, which has a replica 1880's mining town. We visited the gift shops, took in the mountains, and then watched the show. We also visited the zoo where there were a couple of deer and a burro that walked free through the grounds.
