Night Hiking Take Two. June 1, 2011 · Filed under Uncategorized. Lynn Camp Creek all the way to the Jenkins Shelter. We hiked the final 9 miles from Chestnut Knob in darkness. 17.9 total and my feet sure felt it. Hiked the first five miles to a stream and we all took another nap til around 5pm. We sure needed it. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat this much, I’ve got it dripping off everywhere. Even once the sun went down we still sweat from the humidity. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

June 3, 2011 · Filed under Uncategorized. Made it to Bland that night with a shuttle from a guy named Bubba. He dropped us off at the Big Walker Motel where his wife worked. We had dinner at the DQ across the street and gladly hit the sheets. We ended up taking a zero day in Bland in order to meet up with Sages hiking club from Virginia Beach on Saturday.
