Because thinking deep is just too frickin' hard. Saturday, February 28, 2015. Spell Check On Aisle 3. I don't know why I've been receiving so many fundraising emails lately from Cathy McMorris Rodgers. The good news is she doesn't have to use any contributions to buy a vowel. Links to this post. Today was a two-hour shakedown of the new bike. Some of the trails at Riverside are wet so we got a little dirty. It was a blast and I'm looking forward to many more miles of trails. Shallow Cogitations: Midnight Century 2015
http://www.shallowcogitations.com/2015/08/midnight-century-2015.html
Because thinking deep is just too frickin' hard. Sunday, August 2, 2015. Last night I rode my fourth Midnight Century and it was the toughest one I've done yet. The gravel roads were in horrible condition with high washboards and lots of deep, loose gravel. I rode the Elephant CX bike and it was lively on those washboards to say the least. Because thinking deep is just too frickin' hard. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Whatever it is, it's that a way. Probably was cited for something more serious. Than parking in the bike lane. Links to this post. Saturday, August 23, 2014. As I left Stephanie in her dorm room today, I hugged her and told her I love her. My voice quavered just a bit, almost betraying the emotion I was keeping at bay. This evening, as I pass by three empty bedrooms, I do not feel the need for such restraint. The view from her room.

Wileydog Cycle: September 2014

Bicycling in and around Spokane, Inland NW and the Pacific Northwest. Commuting, trail, street, dirt, gravel and in-between. Saturday, September 27, 2014. New Tires - Freedom Ryder. So I finally bought some new ones. I went for cheap and heavy - the Freedom Ryder. 700 x 38 at 665 grams, $26. I like the 38c size for the Vaya - it's a good combo of width and grip for the pavement, urban single track, gravel streets I find on my way home, and other off-pavement rides, but will fit fenders easily. An aside: ...

Bicycling in and around Spokane, Inland NW and the Pacific Northwest. Commuting, trail, street, dirt, gravel and in-between. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Think I'm ready for the MC. Taking the Vaya this time - I was going to take it my first time 2 years ago but it was out of commission and took my cross bike instead. I really missed those low Vaya gears. Another accidental iphone filter effect. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A few more pics and whatnot. Under a Yellow Blue Moon - Midnight Century 2015.

Bicycling in and around Spokane, Inland NW and the Pacific Northwest. Commuting, trail, street, dirt, gravel and in-between. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. REI Spokane bike rack. The bike rack critic returns…. Then I finally noticed last week the end of the bike rack at the top is connected to the back top rail with… a bolt. I don't think anybody could loosen the bolt and slide my bike and u-lock off, but I was surprised to see it. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Always have thought it'd be nice to have a trail halfw...

Bicycling in and around Spokane, Inland NW and the Pacific Northwest. Commuting, trail, street, dirt, gravel and in-between. Friday, August 7, 2015. Under a Yellow Blue Moon - Midnight Century 2015. Well ok the Blue Moon was technically the night before, but we did ride under an almost full moon that was yellow due to the smoke in the sky from the wildfires in the region. Moving on…. Short version: rode to the Elk, Hawaiian shirt green Chrome shoes Vaya bike. I've always chuckled at the cue sheet. After ...

Because thinking deep is just too frickin' hard. Sunday, August 16, 2015. Upper Priest Lake Ride. I wasn't not entirely sure where I rode yesterday so I looked up all the trails for this post. John was coming over for the weekend so he brought his 29er. We parked at the trail head for Lakeshore Trail. East of Nordman) and rode north alongside Priest Lake until we ran out of lake. Then we got on Navigation Trail. Looking fresh and well nourished at the start. Having a well deserved beer at our destination.
