Friday, May 31, 2013. Dragon fruit and flowers-Spring 2013. Dragon Fruit and flowers! I was curious and got this dragon fruit. At the Asian market. The colors inside are so pretty. It has very little flavor. It's more for the colors and it's looks than anything else. May is about over and June is going to be quite busy for us here. Hope your Spring has been good. Comprei essa fruta dragao e gostei do sabor. Nao tem sabor forte. As cores sao lindas. My flowers in the back yard! Fotos de minhas flores!

Thursday, September 19, 2013. We had a Fall (Harvest festival dinner) in our church. The dinner was at the civic center. Lots of interesting food. Look at the multi colored jello salad. Monday, December 31, 2012. Christmas at Grandmother's house. We had a lovely Christmas time with the family. The family has grown so much. The nieces and nephews that were once little children are now all grown and have children of their own. The food was abundant and delicious. We took a small scape and went to the next town to see "The Hobbit" and in 3D was very beautiful. Cousins had time to play a game of Catch Phrase. Saturday, August 24, 2013. Basil and other herbs! Manjericão e outras hervas! We have lots of basil this Summer so I made so. Me pesto, used it in my focaccia and of course hanged some to dry so we can have dried basil in the Winter. 3 c packed fresh basil leaves. 4 cloves of garlic. 3/4 c grated Parmesan cheese. 1/2 c olive oil. 1/4 c pine nuts. 1/2 c chopped fresh parsley ( I used useds lesss than that since I don't really like the flavor of parsley). La semana pasada hice varias compras para la casa. Con la excusa de "jubilar" un mantel rojo que nos regalaron hace mil años y que no combinaba con nada, me pasé horas navegando por esta web. Y hace poco fue a dormir a casa de un amigo. Nosotros seguiremos disfrutando de la fruta, de la lectura, de inventar nuevas ensaladas fresquitas, y cosas así.
