North Idaho Carver

Tuesday, March 6, 2018. This was a rough out of six basic facial expressions from Phil Bishop. They are sadness, anger, joy, fear, disgust, and surprise. It didn't come with a picture, so I hope I come close to what the face should look like. Also it wasn't wood, it was easy to carve although it was stringy. I have a new camera so the colors are off. North Idaho Carver: July 2015

http://northidahocarver.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. I carved this Santa in Cottonwood bark. It is 10 inches tall and 3 inches wide. This is the first time I tried painting something in bark. I like to carve something in the back. Links to this post. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Retired and enjoying the art of carving. North Idaho Carver: March 2015

http://northidahocarver.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 23, 2015. I started out with a Chris Hammack roughout. I broke off an arm while carving and glued it back on. I was putting on the finish coat of lacquer and dropped the carving on the cement floor and broke the arm again. Discussed with myself I carved off the body and now it is a bottle stopper. I think I will stop for a moment for a glass of wine. Links to this post. Friday, March 6, 2015. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

North Idaho Carver: September 2014

http://northidahocarver.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Saturday, September 27, 2014. The Parrot Has a Peg Leg. This is a rough out from Chris Hammack called Captain Short Shank. His bar scene rough outs are fun to carve. I got the beard and mustache a little to black for my likes, but otherwise I like it a lot. Links to this post. Sunday, September 14, 2014. Chip Carved Bud Vase. Links to this post. North Idaho Carver: October 2014

http://northidahocarver.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 31, 2014. The pumpkins are about 11 inches tall. This is the first time I carved faces in a pumpkin. I used my regular carving tools. I found out to show the shadow lines you need to make deep cuts. I hope the kids enjoy them when trick or treating. Links to this post. Sunday, October 26, 2014. Links to this post. http://sundaywoodcarver.blogspot.com/2012

The Sunday Woodcarver Blog. Sharing my carving learning curve. Monday, December 24, 2012. December has been a good month for in terms of exposure.
