The true confessions and real adventures of a professional travel writer bizarre stories, amazing characters, and comic mishaps that never make it into the guidebooks. Thursday, January 28, 2010. Should tourists go to North Korea? So, now Americans can visit North Korea year-round (not just during the big showcase Arirang spectacle of creepily syncronized kindergarten kids). See: http:/ www.northkorea1on1.com. The real question is: should we be going at all? Travel beyond vacations (tm). But I think most...

Our Mission |
https://theglobalwonk.wordpress.com/our-mission
Mission is simple: No New Cold War! The United States can not afford, neither literally or figuratively, another Cold War style confrontation. We spend over half a trillion dollars* per year on defense. Shouldn’t we shift some of these resources into a better education for all of our children? How about research and development towards energy independence? What about securing all of the loose raw materials that could be used to create weapons of mass destruction (WMD) that are scattered around the world?
