The Roaming Rev: May 2009
http://roamingrev.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Musings on Roaming through God's World. Wednesday, May 27, 2009. I just received a new T-shirt for my birthday. On the front it says Columbia Theological Seminary (my alma mater) and on the back is a LARGE picture of John Calvin. Probably only a Presbyterian would ever wear this shirt, but why would anyone (including Presbyterians) really care about a French Protestant born exactly 500 years ago this July? The Roaming Rev: August 2009
http://roamingrev.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Musings on Roaming through God's World. Thursday, August 20, 2009. The road is long. With many a winding turn. That leads us to who knows where. Strong enough to carry him. He ain't heavy, he's my brother. So on we go. His welfare is of my concern. No burden is he to bear. He would not encumber me. He ain't heavy, he's my brother. If I'm laden at all. I'm laden with sadness. Isn't filled with the gladness. Of love for one another. It's a long, long road. From which there is no return. Follow me on Twitter.

The Roaming Rev: May 2010
http://roamingrev.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Musings on Roaming through God's World. Saturday, May 22, 2010. What a great week! Being fed spiritually, musically, "homiletically"- all at the same time! The Festival of Homiletics was packed full of worship, study, and music. We began by 8:30 every morning and did not get back to unwind until almost 10:00 each night. The people of Nashville, and First Baptist Church, in particular, were so hospitable, in spite of the challenges they have been facing since the flood. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Roaming Rev: Fecundity!
http://roamingrev.blogspot.com/2013/07/fecundity.html
Musings on Roaming through God's World. Friday, July 05, 2013. It's not often that a person gets to use the word fecundity! Vegetation- the garden is producing! We have just begun harvesting squash and cucumbers- the tomatoes will take a while. But the berries! Red raspberries- a whole patch of them, from just three little plants given to me by Ernie Bentley two years ago. And lovely blackberries (no thorns! We have been eating berries on cereal, in yogurt, and- you guessed it- in homemade ice cream!

The Roaming Rev: April 2009
http://roamingrev.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Musings on Roaming through God's World. Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Earth Day - Outside and Inside. As I write this, I am keenly aware that it is Earth Day. The earth—or at least the atmospheric portion of Earth—has been making its presence known today, in wind and rain and even snow—but now the sun is shining and I can hear birds outside the study window. It is an awesome time to think about God’s great gift of creation . . . and new creation. Psalm 24 reminds us:. The world, and those who live in it;.

The Roaming Rev: June 2013
http://roamingrev.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Musings on Roaming through God's World. Wednesday, June 05, 2013. It is hard to believe we have finished the first month of the sabbatical! Lots has been going on! I've been doing a lot of reading. Walter Brueggemann's An Introduction to the Old Testament: The Canon and Christian Imagination. Offers stories and ideas about how to enrich the spiritual lives of our children in ways that enrich us as well. Sarah Juengst's Equipping the Saints. We spent a week with my mother in Pawley's Island, SC (and she r...
