A No-Hype Discussion of the Weather and Snowfall for Northstar California. Sunday, April 15, 2012. Finishing On A Positive Note. Beautiful weather day to finish the season. It wasn't the snowiest season to start but thanks to Northstar's huge snowmaking system we had some of the best conditions. Then in March the snow finally arrived and we picked up 130 inches which doubled the previous four months combined. We added another 40 inches here in April with the last flake falling on Friday.

A No-Hype Discussion of the Weather and Snowfall for Northstar California. Saturday, April 14, 2012. An additional 4 inches yesterday brough us to a storm total of 19 inches as of this morning. That pushes us just over 300 inches for the season and we will end up at 86% of our seasonal average. Not bad after the slow start to the season. For all that’s going on at Lake Tahoe. Originally uploaded by jodi engle. The sun was shining and the temperature was a balmy 50 degrees by noon at Sierra at Tahoe. Last Saturday. It was Day 8 of the 2010-11 ski season for me, but I didn’t do a lot of skiing. There were too many things happening! Which also happened to be our mode of transportation for the day. Owner Brian manned the mic at the base and passed out trophies at 2 pm Men, women and children entered and had a great time. January 19, 2011.

My mind and body race as I hurry on foot to yoga class after work once or twice a week, and 90 minutes later the relaxed yogi-me emerges from the warm, dim studio with a happy grin.
