This place is LEGIT awesome. Their instructors are awesome and patient, the space is warm for the kids and the pool is warm, but what I *love* is the way they schedule their classes! Compassion: June 2009
http://rhcc-compassion.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 18, 2009. All the signs of summer were out, a warm twilight, strollers in the neighborhood, that freshly-cut-grass smell and rollicking cheers from the ballpark to the crack of a bat. But school was still in session and the cafeteria was crowded with families eating pizza. So many families gathered for the first annual Family Night at Bridgeport Elementary that the pizza ran short. Job one next year, order more pizza. Problem solved! Monday, June 1, 2009. Thursday, April 30, 2009. The Man Behind the Apron. I walked away from my visit inspired by the man behind the apron, laughing at the thought that he would introduce me to the president once he arrived! Timely approval of building permits. Smooth transition for both volunteers and clients. Logistics of moving day (moving is hard work! Warm welcome to all visiting Rolling Hills for the first time. Maintaining diverse family of supporters. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Crystal Peaks: It's Like Holy Ground.

Sunday, May 22, 2011. I read the Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin for the Once Upon a Time reading challenge. I finished it last week and I am still not sure if I liked it or not. It was not the story, or the writing style, I just could not get involved with most of the characters. I am being vague on this, as I know there is a TV show being made, and I know some people actually will read the book so I am trying not to give to much ways. Sansa Stark - Oh dear gods she reminded me of Bella from the T...

Hunger & Poverty - CityServe PDX

Street and Gang Violence. In an average month, an estimated 240,000 people in Oregon and Clark County, Wash. ate meals from an emergency food box last year, up 20% from an average of 200,000 per month just the prior year. The need for emergency food is unprecedented. Long-term unemployment, persistent underemployment and the high cost of food, gas, utilities and rent are forcing more and more people to seek emergency food. Cited from The Oregon Food Bank. My New Red Shoes. October 08, 2015. July 16, 2014.
