Clay by Kristen: From Out of the Mist...
http://claybykristen.blogspot.com/2013/02/from-out-of-mist.html
Saturday, February 2, 2013. From Out of the Mist. After a multi-year absence (how embarrassing.my apologies to anyone who actually follows/followed this blog while I was living in the Mid-West! Fate has apparently decided it's time for me to shake the dust off my tools and get back in the studio, hopefully once again as a teacher for a local art center. I should be hearing more within a few days, but fingers crossed this is the beginning of another great new chapter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Clay by Kristen: March 2010
http://claybykristen.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Foot in the Door 4 @ MIA. It was exciting, fun, and claustrophobic all at the same time.fortunately, my sister and a friend came with me so I didn't have to face the crowds alone. For work throughout the exhibit (everything is numbered, so work is suprisingly easy to find). The exhibit runs through June 13th and is completely free, so if anyone happens to be in the area, I strongly suggest stopping by to check it out. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Thursday, February 4, 2010. Art in the Cities. You know when you move to a new location and in the hassle tend to be a bit forgetful about things? Open flames.always exciting.) My muse has also returned from a two-month-or-so hiatus and I've been filling sketchbook pages with new design concepts just itching to be brought to life (hurry up, warm weather! I can't smoke-fire in the snow! I'm also putting the finishing touches on my application for Ceramic Monthly's "2010 Emerging Artists" issue as well as ...

pigeon road pottery: Summer work
http://pigeonroadpottery.blogspot.com/2010/08/summer-work.html
Fine art for an everyday purpose . ceramics and commentary by Amy Higgason. Monday, August 23, 2010. A great summer is winding down. I plan on writing a very personal post soon about what went on here during the last few months. Until then, here are some quick studio shots of pieces I completed recently. I made a series of 8 of these small pouring vessels. There is only 1 left. Two tight detail shots of the platter featured in my March 17th blog post titled "Coming Attractions". I also dig butterflies.

Fine art for an everyday purpose . ceramics and commentary by Amy Higgason. Thursday, June 18, 2009. Walk In The Woods Art Fair, Saturday, June 13, 2009. Here's a wide shot of my booth. My niece Jessica Border made my awesome tie dyed flag. A shopper inside my booth. Lots of little stuff I make — for fun and profit. Sharing some quality time with my new friend Darwin Davis. This painting by Wendy Powalisz sold a few days after the show. My photo doesn't do it justice! Wendy wins the award for cutest boot...

pigeon road pottery: September 2009
http://pigeonroadpottery.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Fine art for an everyday purpose . ceramics and commentary by Amy Higgason. Sunday, September 20, 2009. I was worried the glazes would run off my pots. The kiln was already cool enough in the morning to unload. I took that as a scary sign. Usually I need to wait until about 9pm to unload. Granted, it was a light load. I couldn't unload it that morning. I had to make an emergency trip to Chicago for personal reasons. Torture! Saturday, September 12, 2009. All these new pieces (plus more) will be finished ...
