Westpac Rescue Helicopter Visit. The Norvill’s have always run both cattle and sheep on Rock Dhu. The cattle, Herefords, were an original selection of 30 females from the famous Timor blood. The Merino sheep are Haddon Rig blood and more recently run with Nerstane (New England) fine wool rams. Being hilly to steep country with cooler temperatures, Rock Dhu is unsuited to cropping, apart from occasional oats for stock in times of drought. In 1977, 1,000 head of cattle and 2,500 sheep.
