It didn't matter a heck of a lot and was a good preparation for our return to the UK where Spring is not yet established. The Hotel Arts was very luxurious and welcoming. The taxi driver tried to rip us off. I had our greeter straighten him out and unsurprisingly he didn't get a tip. He must have thought I had just got off the boat (lol). Thursday, 19 March 2009. We sped on across a glassy sea towards Barcelona. We would need quite a high sustained speed to reach it on time but as that time was 0500 I am not quite sure why the rush. Wednesday, 18 March 2009. Malta has some of the outward Mediterranean shabbiness we have seen in many places but somehow it carries it off and all its other facets charm. I asked a taxi driver to take us to the airport just to look as the aviation person in me was feeling a bit suppressed after several days at sea. Tuesday, 17 March 2009. This was a day of catharsis. I had a number of complaints and had already registered some of them. Today was a day for answers. I spoke with the Restaurant Manager and a Customer Services Supervisor. All the issues were dealt with very well and I felt something would be done about some of them.
