Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination: Post the Sixty-eighth (in which our heroine doesn't like the recipe)
http://ruminationsrugbyruination.blogspot.com/2014/01/post-sixty-eighth-in-which-our-heroine.html
Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination. Trials and tribulations from the world's most disorganised home cook. Thursday, 16 January 2014. Post the Sixty-eighth (in which our heroine doesn't like the recipe). Sorry, Paul. But it just did nothing for me. Too much potato and not enough flavour. Cod Bake with Spinach and Mint. 2 cod fillets, cut into 2cm pieces 6 potatoes, peeled and halved. 3 spring onions, finely sliced 250g frozen peas. Large double-handful baby spinach 50g grated mature cheddar. Hasta luego, am...
Tomato, Bean and Bacon Soupy Stew | The Fuzzy Times
https://fuzzytimes.wordpress.com/2011/11/09/tomato-bean-and-bacon-soupy-stew
An appreciation of good cake. Laquo; Autumnal Bakewell Tart. Tomato, Bean and Bacon Soupy Stew. November 9, 2011 by Arlene. I own too many cookbooks. Ok, maybe not too many. (How many is too many? Maybe not as many as this guy. And certainly, I don’t create nearly as many delicious dinners as he does. But last night, I vowed to make something from one cookbook I had never used before: Nigel Slater’s Real Cooking. I’m also on a ‘living leaner’ buzz, thanks to Móna. This is also a recipe you can go as fanc...

Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination: Post the Seventy-second (in which our heroine joins the "I Hate January" brigade)
http://ruminationsrugbyruination.blogspot.com/2014/01/post-seventy-second-in-which-our.html
Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination. Trials and tribulations from the world's most disorganised home cook. Thursday, 30 January 2014. Post the Seventy-second (in which our heroine joins the "I Hate January" brigade). Possibly for the first time ever. I'm usually not a January-hater. Hell, I was born in January so it can't be all bad, right? In fact, I was usually more in the "February is evil" camp. Cause, like, everyone. January is over and you've been paid and it's officially spring, but - surprise! Anywa...
peanut butter granola | The Chip Monk
https://thechipmonk.wordpress.com/2014/02/28/peanut-butter-granola
Posted by the chip monk. Asymp; Leave a comment. A budget special. Granola is such a delicious brekkie, but paying 4/ 3.49 for a small bag just isn’t worth it, not to mention all the nasties in the shop bought stuff. This recipe is heavily inspired by A Girl Called Jack. A food blogger forced to feed herself and her son on 10 a week. This recipe costs an estimated 80p, and it’s versatile. Jack’s recipe called for honey but I had none, so I went with what was in my store cupboard. 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination: Post the Seventy-fourth (in which our heroine despairs for the future of manners)
http://ruminationsrugbyruination.blogspot.com/2014/03/post-seventy-fourth-in-which-our.html
Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination. Trials and tribulations from the world's most disorganised home cook. Monday, 24 March 2014. Post the Seventy-fourth (in which our heroine despairs for the future of manners). Upbringing is clearly a large factor in how unmannerly or otherwise a person is. For years, I just assumed that everyone's parents were the same as mine and that no-one escaped the constant reminders of "Where's your manners? If I realise, and you realise, and any number of readers of this blog who...

Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination: September 2012
http://ruminationsrugbyruination.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination. Trials and tribulations from the world's most disorganised home cook. Tuesday, 25 September 2012. Post the Fifty-seventh (in which our heroine indulges in a bout of melancholy). In the meantime, I have found that the best short-term cure for the dreaded melancholia is to play Pink's "So What" at ear-splitting volume and lep around the bedroom like a child with ADHD who's been drinking speed-laced Coke for three days. I apologise to both Sinead and Mrs. Keane next...Bunch...

Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination: Post the Seventieth (in which our heroine goes to work sans foundation)
http://ruminationsrugbyruination.blogspot.com/2014/01/post-seventieth-in-which-our-heroine.html
Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination. Trials and tribulations from the world's most disorganised home cook. Wednesday, 22 January 2014. Post the Seventieth (in which our heroine goes to work sans foundation). And no-one drops dead of shock. Or asks if I'm sick. Or even seems to notice at all. See, I was standing in the bathroom on Monday morning about to put my foundation on and I. Looked at my skin for a moment or two and went "Your skin is in great nick, why are you bothering? Okay, less rant, more recipe:.

Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination: October 2012
http://ruminationsrugbyruination.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination. Trials and tribulations from the world's most disorganised home cook. Monday, 22 October 2012. Post the Fifty-ninth (in which everyone is rather worried about the Heineken Cup). But, a win is a win as far as I'm concerned. So why the long faces and the prophecies of doom all round? Seared King Scallop, Potato and Garlic Soup, Parsnip Crisp, Marsh Samphire. Parfait of Goat's Cheese, Roasted Hazelnuts and Tarragon, Beetroot Three Ways. Erm, I may have forgotten to take a p...

Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination: November 2012
http://ruminationsrugbyruination.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Ruminations, Rugby and Ruination. Trials and tribulations from the world's most disorganised home cook. Wednesday, 7 November 2012. Post the Sixty-first (in which the world breathes a sigh of relief). Interestingly, had this been a global election, Obama would have been returned by a landslide. Observe; Americans - the entire rest of the world can't be wrong. Navajo Lamb Stew -. 800g lamb shoulder, diced 2 onions, roughly chopped. 2 large carrots, peeled and chopped 2 sticks celery, trimmed and chopped.

Buy Puff Pastry and Avoid a Meltdown. If there’s one thing that is totally acceptable to buy from the supermarket, it’s puff pastry. The reasons are two-fold. First, it takes a lot of time, patience and skill to laminate dough (folding it with butter to make hundreds of pillowy layers, a process that is just asking for a kitchen meltdown). And the kind from the supermarket always comes out perfectly. August 4, 2014. Dabbling in the Kitch. Buy Puff Pastry and Avoid a Meltdown. August 4, 2014. March 9, 2014.
