Monday, August 30, 2010. The splint is improving. I played clarinet for a long while today (after taking the summer off hoping to help with jaw pain) and my jaw was quite sore and my head was throbbing - the instant I put the splint in at home my headache lessened. I'm still not overly enthused about it - I'm not sure it's doing all the good it was supposed to. It's also giant and looks quite humorous in - I look like a linebacker. I'll post a picture as soon as I remember. That would make me so sad!

Today He and the Chainsaw had a conversation with my molds in hand and decided on one last adjustment before the big day. When that big day is, we have yet to learn. But it's nice to know that they are being proactive about things. It means that I've got four weeks to convince my ENT. At my last ortho visit the oral hygienist replaced the hook that broke off the last time. I'm still wearing four elastics but only at night so the discomfort is better. Ot too sweet, honey. Ganz ohne Zucker nach Belieben. Jeden Tag Kuchen verzehren, soviel man möchte. Und dabei ein gutes Gefühl haben. That's it. Kuchen, die herzlich wenig oder gar keinen Zucker haben und sehr gut verträglich sind, das ist meine Devise. So ist meine Vorstellung vom guten Kuchen. PS: this is a work in progress!
