Saturday, July 12, 2014. Bats Birds = A Wild Week at Summer Reading Camp. Summer slide is a real concern for schools these days, and to help prevent it, our team came up with running a reading camp in conjunction with a local college. The beauty of the program is that we've been able to run a bus to pick up the children, provide them with three hours of fun and learning, and shhhh! So what is up for this week? Now that a few bird resources have been discovered, the next step is to locate a few bat resour...

So for this challenge, I decided to create a product. That would be perfect to add to one or both of these stations. Back to School Vocabulary - Write and Wipe Cards and Printables. There are 24 colorful write and wipe cards included in this pack. I tell them that doing this helps their brain remember better! I included a cover for the set of cards.

Wednesday, June 3, 2015. June's Pick 3 Pins Linky. Oh, I am so happy to be at this point in the year. As I type, I have less than two weeks of school to go. Things are very uncertain in my district right now, as in many, and none of us know what we will come back to. I am just concentrating on giving my little kiddos the funnest last few days I can. I chose one that appealed to Fashionista Kathleen, Chef Kathleen, and Designer Kathleen. Hope you enjoy them, too! And thanks so much to Lisa and Marissa for...

Lots of love,. I love t...

Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Happy Birthday, Kidpeople! I have to offer two words of thanks. First of all, thanks to my DH Jonathan. He set up the blog, paying attention to all my whims. He still helps with brainstorming, editing, and photos. He is my biggest fan, even if at times he might wonder why I do it. I don't know what lies ahead with the blog, but it won't be boring. Never boring. So happy you're along for the ride. The post Happy Birthday, Kidpeople! First appeared on kidpeopleclassroom.com.

Saturday, August 1, 2015. Parents Who Can't Come in– No Problem! Well, the kiddos come back soon, so this is another post in my Start of School series. Sort of like a Five for Friday, but my own Six for Saturday, so to speak. Today I am sharing ideas for do-at-home jobs for parents who cannot come into school. It is my expectation that parents are involved in our classroom in some way, so if they can't come into school to help out, I encourage them to do something for us at home. In my class we have fres...
