This blog will document our creative process in creating this play. Sunday, December 31, 2006. As the new year is almost upon us, I thought it would be appropriate to suggest a few New Year's resolutions. It's only paranoia if your fears never come true, and how likely is that, really? Go back to school. Spend more time with the family. What you need is an RV.

Our illustrious artistic director, and would-be director of this play, Tony Barilla, is moving to Kosovo to join his wife. So no Killing Game this year. And no more blog updates. Ian Varley: Part Of The Solution
http://esemplastic.ianvarley.com/2011/12/part-of-solution.html
Part Of The Solution. Hey, it's time for my annual blog post! It's been a big long crazy year around here, with many thousands of hours spent doing many dozens of nice things. I'll write more about the rest soon, perhaps even before another year has passed. But today, I wanted to mention that as of this fall, we're now a solar-powered household! We were able to do this because of an incredibly cool program called Pecan Street Project. Which funded and inspired the Mueller Megawatt Project.

Ian Varley: The Force
http://esemplastic.ianvarley.com/2010/04/force.html
Through my career as a software engineer, I've always felt drawn to data. Modeling it, manipulating it, mining it: anything having to do with the structure and use of concepts in software, really. It's an amazing (and important) area to work in, because understanding a problem's data is often the biggest step towards solving it. I finished my Masters Degree at UT. And wrote a thesis. So it is with great excitement that I can now share that I've been hired by Salesforce.com. To not only design and develop...

This year has been, without a doubt, the most well documented of my life. For the previous 30-some years, I've barely got a handful to show for myself; yet, for the past 1 year, I've got no fewer than 4000 (and that's just what I kept; I trash 3-5 for every one I keep! And, let it be said, Flickr. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Ian Varley: In Obscura
http://esemplastic.ianvarley.com/2013/01/in-obscura.html
I've got a new musical project, and I'd love to tell you about it. I've been calling it "io" (like, the moon of Jupiter, or the Greek goddess). But, there are already a couple other "io"s out there, so now "io" is short for "In Obscura" (which is Latin for "in darkness", and which is also the first part of the inscription on my wedding ring: "in obscura, in luce": "in darkness, in light"). If you've followed any of my musical projects in the past ( Drop Trio. I have every intention of keeping it up, and.
