Kristoffer Fagerström, Charlotte Ackemar, Boaz Katz. Sancal started out manufacturing classic, French-style chairs. Four decades on, we have decided to revisit our origins and borrow from the past. Our studio was selected to give the project a fresh, innovative angle. The original piece was classified as a dressing-table chair, but the tiny new Tonella. Sancal is based in Yecla, a wine-growing region in southern Spain. Barrels are commonplace, and the metallic support is reminiscent of their staves.
