My Thoughts from Around the World
Salzburg and Budapest | Notes from A.J.
https://notesfromaj.wordpress.com/2013/05/21/salzburg-and-budapest
Notes from A.J. My Thoughts from Around the World. Salzburg is a beautiful little city in Austria, which is in central Europe. Salzburg has a lot of old buildings, and some of them were built in the 1400 or 1500. There is a big river in the middle of Salzburg and a tall hill with a fortress on top. They used the fortress to fight enemies in the past. The Fortress on the Hill. Fountain in the city. At the top of the buildings is the year they were built, more than 500 years ago. Sliding in the salt mines.

Notes from A.J. My Thoughts from Around the World. The last stop in my family sabbatical was Africa. We spent three weeks in Africa. For most of the time, we were on a tour with Wild Dog Safari that went through Namibia and Botswana. We also had a few days on our own. Meeting local school kids. Sand Dunes, Namibia. Me on the Dunes! I am the blue dot. Running down a HUGE dune. Walvis Bay, Namibia. Wow, never done this before. It’s a dolphin! This baby is big. Giants at the watering hole. Me and the sunset.
My Saklikent Gorge Adventure | Notes from A.J.
https://notesfromaj.wordpress.com/2013/06/22/saklikent-gorge
Notes from A.J. My Thoughts from Around the World. My Saklikent Gorge Adventure. We went to a canyon on one of our day trips. It was called Saklikent Gorge and it is the deepest canyon in the whole country. At this gorge, people walk along the stream at the bottom of the canyon. Water coming out of the mountains. To start our walk, we had to walk upsteam. We entered the canyon on one side and to get to the other side, we had to cross a really strong and high river. The water was freezing. There were many...

Notes from A.J. My Thoughts from Around the World. Thoughts on my World Trip. I have just finished a 6.5 month trip around the world! We went to 17 countries and saw parts of Asia, Europe, Africa and New Zealand. It meant a lot to me that I got to see so many different places and I was able to experience life around the world. I traveled for more than half a year and I have seen how people live. Waiting for a flight. Listening to my iPod while enjoying the view. WOW tiles on a church! At Soi Dog, an orga...

https://notesfromaj.wordpress.com/2013/04/18/nepal-country-report
Notes from A.J. My Thoughts from Around the World. Namaste from Nepal (that means hello)! I spent 3 weeks here. Nepal is a very poor place and it was sometimes difficult place to stay. I have been to a lot of places in Nepal such as Kathmandu, Pokhara and Bhaktapur. I’ve seen one large city, some small towns and many tiny villages in the countryside. A Stupa in Nepal with colorful prayer flags. Nepal has very tall mountains. Eight of the top ten highest mountains in the whole world are in Nepal! The peop...

Notes from a Big World. One Family's Tales from the Trails, our RTW Journey. August 7, 2014. A Bargain in NYC: Leo House. New York City doesn’t have to be expensive, as Charlie and I discovered during a mother-daughter trip earlier this summer. We had a great stay at an affordable hotel, The Leo House. Have bags, will travel. Entrance to The Leo House. The building shows its age, but they are in the process of repairing the room or renovating the floors. Our room needed a paint job and the bathroom w...
