Notes From My Underground

Notes From My Underground. Sunday, 7 October 2012. Indie’ and ‘hipster are terms that have been increasingly popular amongst the teenagers of today. I myself have often caught myself calling someone a hipster. Mostly because he didn’t smoke but carried cigarettes and had a business card that called him a ‘visionary’. So I maintain this was a justified assessment. But why is it that being different is suddenly so cool? Thursday, 15 December 2011. The beginning of a random story (so far). Will it be better?

Notes From My Underground: The beginning of a random story (so far)

http://www.notesfrommyunderground.blogspot.com/2011/12/beginning-of-random-story-so-far.html

Notes From My Underground. Thursday, 15 December 2011. The beginning of a random story (so far). I moved all the time as a kid. It was hard, never staying in the same place. My dad used to say that we were lucky, not everyone experienced new things so frequently. But there is a loneliness to what is new. The faint trace of the old lingers on in your mine like a ghost and taints your perspective. Will it be just as good as where I was before? Will it be better? Will I be happier here?

Who i am and what i do. The Imaginary Passenger Brake. Frantic stomping on the floorboard. August 17, 2009. Helping students or your own wallet? Posted by maxwasatch under general whining. Though there are a several messes going on, one situation was particularly sad. Our school is an online/alternative school. We take the students that don’t have any other options. really, we take anyone who wants to be here, but the focus is on the ones who struggle in traditional settings. August 7, 2009. July 30, 2009.

Christian Theology with Democratic Ideology. Tuesday, February 21, 2006. I don't publish new stuff that often and here's why: I think that we all get enough rants about lies, war, ignorance of science, lack of compassion and general ineptitude that I don't need to add to it here. Y'all know that stuff already. I know there are readers! But I would appreciate some comments back. Open forum here - let the people speak! Here are a couple of questions to get it rolling:. Sorry, no push button topics here, ab...

Christian Theology with Democratic Ideology. Friday, April 29, 2005. Perhaps that was a real "Justice" Sunday. With so many of faith speaking out against what they see as, to say the worst - blasphemy, or to say the least - improper use of the pulpit, it is heartening to think that some who had previously bought into the verbiage of the Religious Right may now be hearing the falsehoods hidden in the words. The good that came from Justice Sunday, however, is in the embarrassment that I think some in the r...

Christian Theology with Democratic Ideology. Saturday, June 18, 2005. This isn’t for Christians only. And it isn’t for Democrats only. I write this hoping to reach anyone and everyone to explain that there is a theocratic movement among the GOP, that not all Christians are of a theocratic movement and that many, I pray most, Christians do not believe that man can influence nor know the timing of Christ’s return. Towards the end of times. Sara Diamond from The Public Eye. Some Republicans do get it:.

Christian Theology with Democratic Ideology. Sunday, January 31, 2010. Well, it all come down to a vote. One hundred-eighty or so to about eighty with the result in favor of associating with a fundamentalist Lutheran body entirely created to deal with "the gay clergy issue." So much for the collective mind of man. As we used to say in the old country, feckin' idges. In my humble opinion, all are good and all are bad. Such is the way of man. Go in peace and serve the Lord. Links to this post. In a purely ...

Christian Theology with Democratic Ideology. Thursday, December 01, 2005. Democrats Open Shelter For Homeless Republicans. A Guest Commentary from Gary Horton:. Last week I wrote about the half million homeless Americans overfilling our inner cities. My encounter with a particularly distraught man also brought to mind another kind of homelessness overrunning America. This other homelessness is the betrayal and abandonment of traditional conservatives by the Bush-Cheney Republican Party. Conservatives wer...

Christian Theology with Democratic Ideology. Monday, October 31, 2005. This is pure theology here - no politics. If you need politics, head back to the index and pick a topic. Following is a homily I shared with some high school youth a couple of weeks ago:. 56 of God’s laws have to do specifically with the rituals of the sacrifice, how to select the animal, how to properly sacrifice it, and what to do with the remains of the burnt offering. Over and above those 56 ceremonial laws are a great many mo...

January 3, 2017.
