Notes from Palestine and Israel

Notes from Palestine and Israel. Languages of Liturgy and Occupation. On December 28, 2012. I grew up on the island of Deer Isle, Maine, where most people are Christian. We have thirteen churches and a population of 3,000; the nearest synagogue is over an hour away in Bangor. At an early age, my practice of Judaism became very personal. Hebrew, too, felt like a personal, spiritual language that I could use to speak to God. Read More and Comment ». Stories on the Wall: Refugees in Ramallah. Mustafa Tamimi...

Notes From Panama

This is our mission journal. Sunday, August 5, 2012. Tuesday, the week before we left, the Bolivar branch invited us for a farewell. Brother Rio had made us a photo of ourselves in front of the temple and we had dinner and a concert. All of our student were there, even those who hadn't finished, except Albis. The students each played, and Hattie Pinto and Michelle Rios played a duet of "Testimonio". It was gratifying to say the least. They had worked hard to make it special. Ray Johnson, Edyn's husband, ...

Notes from Papa

Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Of the Many of One. Of the Many of One. Yet we stand firmly. Rooted in our meager truths. Knowing only what we spout. With anything but awareness. For each must seek. Yet all will find. That we are but one of the many of the one. And when Peace comes upon each. So that many might see. Tuesday, July 8, 2014. Would That I Could. Would That I Could. Spiraling Upward

January 20, 2009. This very cold weather sucks the moisture out of our lungs which is why we’re told to wrap a muffler around our nose and mouth when we go outside. The cold also sucks the moisture out of our homes. Boiling a pan of water on your stove is a quick and simple way to help with that. By late night it was back down to 20%. So you might put a pot of water or tea kettle on once or twice a day! Tags: cold weather warning. Posted in Health Matters. January 20, 2009. We went to a second site where...

I think they didn’t get the point, it’s not about to be brave or not, it’s about to have a plan. I’ve got my plan, I’ve worked for it and it has worked to me, it’s been a long trip and I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I’m on top now. I made it at my conditions. Leave Note / Reblog.
