http://notesfromthebelly.blogspot.com/2008/04/i-recently-received-couple-of-emails.html

Notes from the Belly. Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Unsolicted weight loss advice. I recently received a couple of emails from my aunt, with whom i established a lovely relationship when my dad was in the hospital. i've never really had a realtionship with Auntie M before, but spent a lovely evening chatting about this and that and catch-up when i was back in chicago. we exchanged email addresses and promised to keep in touch at the end of the visit. Again, i thanked her and noted how lovely the gowns were.

http://notesfromthebelly.blogspot.com/2008/05/hyper-vigilance-vs-subtle-awareness.html

Notes from the Belly. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Hyper vigilance vs. subtle awareness. Over the past couple of weeks, i haven't really been paying attention to the weight loss program - haven't been logging my food religiously, haven't been overzealous about getting out for an evening walk; nor have i been going overboard with junk food or lethargy. i've just kind of. been. fortunately i'm getting by on just 'being' without any weight loss/gain ramifications. I can do this! Hyper vigilance is also my way&#46...

Notes From the Bedside Table

Saturday, May 14, 2016. Bored Bored bored bored. Bored. Sunrise today was at 5:32 am, sunrise will be at 8:40 pm! Last Monday night, when I got home from bookgroup at about 9:45, the sky was still ruddy over the Olympic mountains to the west. Long twilights are a true joy. View from the window where my computer is living this week. And with a house full of unread books, and uncleared shelves and closets, I shouldn't be bored. But I am. So, I guess I am going to drag that stack of b. Scholastic) which I h...

Notes from the Bin | Trying to make sense of it all, one post at a time

Notes from the Bin. Trying to make sense of it all, one post at a time. A tribute to an honourable man. May 1, 2014. I will admit to being in a rather glum mood today. I am grieving the loss of my father in law. He passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning from an apparent stroke. My father in law was a man of incredible integrity. He strove to live out his values and principles every day. He was committed to his family, his community and his faith. My father in law was faith in action. He was a man of s...

Monday, July 2, 2012. I will no longer be posting to the 'Notes From the Black' blog. Instead, I've joined (or more like rejoined) forces with John at Currents. Long-term viewers may recall that we started blogging together during the summer of 2009, when we posted the results of a competition to see who could catch the most warmwater species on the flyrod. My past posts have already been moved over to his blog. See you over there! Monday, June 11, 2012. More Black River Gar. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Photo...

Notes from the Black Lagoon | A Dispatch from the Children’s Room

Notes from the Black Lagoon. On: January 22, 2009. Right now, I’m considering creating a Story Time Wiki for my staff to compile past story time ideas by subject. At our last Youth Services Roundtable, several librarians (including. Most children’s librarians are pretty isolated geographically in their own little libraries, trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to story time. Why not have one place where colleagues can exchange ideas and not feel so alone? Pretty acurate, no? On: January 21, 2009.
