Bethadee Zoo: July 2014
http://bethadeezoo.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 9, 2014. I started these blocks over a year ago when the Scrappy Trip Along was going on. For those of you who might not have heard of the Scrappy Trip Along, it was a Quilt Along started in early 2013 based on Bonnie Hunter's Scrappy Trip Quilt Tutorial. This is the last time I remember these blocks. I had ten. I really wanted to make this quilt so I left the strips needed for the block, laying around. I thought I could make a block here and there. Well, now look where I'm at! Follow thi...

Bethadee Zoo: November 2013
http://bethadeezoo.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 28, 2013. Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name;. Make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praises to him;. Tell of all his wonderful acts. Psalm 105:1 and 2. Sunday, November 17, 2013. Recently my Father-In-Law and quilting Sister-In-Law came for a visit. Since we live on opposite coasts we don't get to visit often, but when we do,. We ladies spend some time quilting. Our styles are different, but we don't let that get in our way,. As I'm thinking about it,.

Friday, May 31, 2013. May Goal and A Couple Birthdays. Its the end of May and time for My Lovely Year Of Finishes. My goal was a little toddler sized baseball themed backpack for a little one due in July. I'm happy to say I finished it AND a little newborn snuggly. I've used both these patterns before so I knew they were. Tried and true and would turn out wonderful. The backpack is fully lined and ready to use. Next time, I think I'll add a few inside pockets. I made one for my granddaughter two years ago.

Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Springy baby irish chain. So I started with my scraps and some trusty Kona Snow and made up some nine-patches. Side note: I love chain piecing. Side note 2: all phot...And e...

Beausoleil Quilts: June 2016
http://beausoleilquilts.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 June 2016. Topographical-June One Block Wonder. I loved the quilt that Sandy from Upstairs Hobby Room made using this month's block. The colours were gorgeous and I had been wanting to make a blue and green quilt for a while. I shamelessly copied Sandy's colours when it came time to make it. I like big quilts which are big enough for a bed, so needed to make 9 of the 24 inch blocks. The quilt ended up being 87 inches square. Quilting-I decided to do a simple stipple for this. I decided to co...

Beausoleil Quilts: More 2016 Finishes
http://beausoleilquilts.blogspot.com/2016/12/more-2016-finishes.html
Sunday, 18 December 2016. With only a couple of weeks left for 2016, I have realised there are some quilts not blogged about. Given that is a diary of my quilt finishes, I need to fill in. First that comes to mind are the baby Quilts. I was the only person who knew that Lukes new baby was to be a girl so I could make her quilt. Seeing the baby wasn't going to sleep in a cot, I decided a full single was a better idea. This is Hazels Quilt. The fabric is True Colors by Amy Butler. Blogs I Regularly Visit.

Beausoleil Quilts: Point Zero
http://beausoleilquilts.blogspot.com/2017/01/point-zero.html
Wednesday, 11 January 2017. This quilt comes from a Charms Swap with Ms Midge. The designer this time is Lizzy House. When the fabrics were in the album I had thought that this swap might not be so interesting as there were lots of the Pearl Bracelets fabrics. How wrong I was. They only added colour to the mix and were not at all boring. I started with simple split 9 patch blocks which I was intending to set into a star quilt. After playing a lot with the blocks, this is the one I liked best. The 3rd bor...

The 2015 Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery Block of the Month was using the Primitive Gatherings fabric line Snowman Gatherings. The setting is really lovely with Snowmen and trees being the filler blocks and a row of beautiful stars top and bottom. The quilt has been much admired by everyone who has seen it. This is quilt finish No 12 for 2016. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am Lynn, and live in New Zealand.
