Notes on the Commons

Notes on the Commons. Monday, April 11, 2011. I just came across this amazing website called The Perennial Plate! The website is the host to a series of short documentaries which follow chef and activist Daniel Klein while he takes on the task of literally bringing food to the table, in what he calls “adventurous and sustainable eating”. This isn’t your ordinary cooking show people! Check it out at: http:/ www.theperennialplate.com/. Recipies included on the site! Tuesday, April 5, 2011. I love Jaime and...

Notes on the Commons: Jaime's Wish

http://notesonthecommons.blogspot.com/2011/04/jaimes-wish.html

Notes on the Commons. Tuesday, April 5, 2011. This past weekend I caught an episode of Jaime Oliver’s Food Revolution. I love Jaime and I think he is doing great things to promote the good old home cooked meal, which is a movement that really goes much deeper than the meal itself. Note to self: Watch Food Revolution next week to see if the lunch ladies warm up to the poor guy. Enjoy and Viva la Food. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Simple theme. Notes on the Commons: Lloyd's Da Man

http://notesonthecommons.blogspot.com/2011/03/lloyds-da-man.html

Notes on the Commons. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. For anyone interested in architecture or carpentry you have to check out the book Builders of the Pacific Coast. By Lloyd Khan. We have owned this book for about four years now and it seems to be one of those books that is constantly on our coffee table and that we pick-up over and over again without getting board of. You can check out Builders of the Pacific Coast and some of Lloyd’s other books at http:/ www.shelterpub.com/index.html. Check him out at.

love, ginger: March 2011

http://lovefromginger.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 31, 2011. I am loving Ina Garten's (aka The Barefoot Contessa) recipe for Coconut Cupcakes. I will definitely be trying these out this weekend. Mmmm. I am enjoying my new bedtime book, Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Musician. By Daniel Wallace (author of Big Fish). I have been laughing out loud to episodes of Bob's Burgers. A new Fox animated series that we instantly fell in love with. Monday, March 28, 2011. For now though, I am just as happy to sit in my craft room and have my ideas and pl...

Notes on the Atrocities. Like a 100-watt radio station, broadcasting to the dozens. Tuesday, August 10, 2004. Notes on the Atrocities. January 10, 2003 - August 10, 2004. I set out one January near the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon to write a splendid blog. I knew then that the years would come and go and the blog would live. As seems appropriate, I will eulogize the site in stats. All else can be found in the archives. Number of posts: 1,416. Number of words: 409,642. Average words per post: 289.

notes on the back of a napkin

Notes on the back of a napkin. Learning–Continuing an introduction. Immortality and the Seven Stories: the start of an introduction. So, today’s musing will be about, essentially, stories. Stories, you see, are very important. Perhaps even sacred. They touch us, and can become real, more real, even, then a reality we’re sometimes forced into. Yes, I think there is a sacredness about stories. Stories can save lives, and damn them. They can create people, moulding them into whatever image they think best.
