On Water and Spirit. Becki on Water and Spirit. Julie 2 on Disappointment. March 30, 2016. Since I only have a few days left of my time here, and I am fairly stable on my feet now, I hoped I would be able to get up to the Sea of Galilee. I was blessed to have the opportunity to do so yesterday. My friend and Methodist Liaison to the Holy Land, Kristen, offered to drive me. On our way north, we caught a glimpse of the Dead Sea. The drive to Galilee is lovely. We arrived in Tiberius. I am so grateful for t...

On Water and Spirit. Becki on Water and Spirit. Julie 2 on Disappointment. February 28, 2016. For two weeks I have been mourning the loss of my dream. I have moved out of the school apartment and into the home of loving friends. I have spent most of my time lying down with my foot elevated, virtually immobile, getting up only for important things. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 thoughts on “ Disappointment. Thank you, Dorothy!

Maundy Thursday | Toward Bethlehem
https://julieinbethlehem.wordpress.com/2016/03/25/maundy-thursday
On Water and Spirit. Becki on Water and Spirit. Julie 2 on Disappointment. March 25, 2016. I attended a service for Maundy Thursday. The service began at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem. We prayed, sang, and listened. These people led us in prayer in these languages: English, Finnish, German, Swahili, Arabic, Danish, Zulu and Swedish. Together we shared the sacrament of Holy Communion. We gathered outside the church and clustered in groups according to our languages. Notify me of new com...
