One of my life's passions and my other hobby. preparing food for my loved ones. Thursday, December 29, 2005. Kind comments from KP, have prompted me to finish this post, with the addition of the recipe. I must say I have thought twice about whether I would share the recipe with anyone, as it is so basic, but it is always a hit and I have been designated the traditional trife maker for some time now, so it must be good despite its unpretentious ingredients. 2 packets of the jam rollettes. I begin by makin...

It was because my sister bought me this little cookie spatular(sp? That I decided to bake the pumpkin rock cakes with brown butter icing found at Esurientes. Well that and the fact I had to stay home with Elliot while he was sick for the 5th day in a row, I did however find out why he was so sick - Glandular Fever! 125g / 4 oz butter, softened. 1 medium egg, beaten.

This is what I put in it:. 125grams unsalted butter (room temperature). 1 cup raw organic sugar. Zest of one orange. Juice of half an orange. 1 and a half cups of almond meal. 1/2 cup of self-raising flour. Oh happy ...

One of my life's passions and my other hobby. preparing food for my loved ones. Thursday, January 25, 2007. Nigella's New Year's day hangover pasta. So called because on New Year's day I decided this was the pasta to fill that seemingly empty feeling I have in my stomach after an evening of indulging in lots of wine and food. Nigella's title for this pasta is:. Spaghetti al sugo crudo (spaghetti with raw tomato sauce). I kg of ripe tomatoes. 1 tsp caster sugar. 1/2 cup (125ml) extra virgin olive oil.

One of my life's passions and my other hobby. preparing food for my loved ones. Sunday, November 09, 2008. A friend on facebook recently pointed me in the direction of this lovely and rustic looking cake. I did some googling and found a number of recipes with variations on the amount of sugar, green apples and dates and eggs. The first recipe I found on a favourite. Today I went for simplicity and varied the quantities on the sugar, eggs and apples. So my version of the cake is so:. 1 cup of hot water.

One of my life's passions and my other hobby. preparing food for my loved ones. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Mini Spelt Chocolate Chip Cupcakes. I used to only bake chocolate goodies for Elliot for school but now with Gabi no longer at day care I can make some chocolate treats they both can have. (Gabi’s day care banned chocolate). If I had not found this company I may not have made the switch so easily as their produce is competitively priced. I think you could replace the spelt with either self-raising...
