Suburb would be foreign to them. So why throw them out of this cocoon? Why thrust them into the cold hard world at the age of 8? Yes, certainly. Is that wrong? I don't know. Monday, May 11, 2009. What a wonderful mother's day we had! The kids followed our long standing tradition of doughnuts in bed for mom followed by vases made out of clay, homemade cards, and flowers from dad. Perfect! Some of the neighborhood kids started a car wash - amazing how times have changed and stayed the same. There were multiple levels of washes, from $10 to $20 for the best wash. Didn't we used to wash cars for a couple of dollars? My kids just had fun and didn't notice. Not My Mother's Cadillac.
