Not Quite Domestic: Sampler Quilt

http://notquitedomestic.blogspot.com/2010/05/sampler-quilt.html

Friday, May 7, 2010. My project for this month is a quilt I made for Don. After I finished Talara's quilt, Don asked if he could have one too. This top was almost pieced from large green plaid squares, so it was easy to promise the next quilt to him. The completed quilt. The colors aren't very true here, but you get the idea. And you can even see some of the pattern. Closer look at the patterns. You can see meandering, paisleys, leaves, water, stars, hearts, and much more. Posted by Urban Domestics.

Lessons Learned from a Quilt. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. I am a lousy blogger! But I'm going to turn over a new leaf and take a lesson from my friend Laura, who faithfully blogs once a month. I can handle once a month! In her February blog, Laura posted pictures. Of quilt blocks I pieced. She called them Love on the Square. They were my first Stack and Whack. But, here's the lesson. I pulled the quilt off the machine, laid it out, and was amazed! Posted by Urban Domestics. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lesso...

We both knew that there would be now more attempts by his ex-wife to take his daughter away and he could raise her now without threat of the court intervening again. Not Quite Domestic: August 2009

http://notquitedomestic.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

A Day of Domesticity! Saturday, August 1, 2009. All right, I know it's been months since I last posted anything, and honestly, I have several posts under construction, and I'll finish them eventually. But, I finally realized that not all posts need pictures, even though they are what people like to see. I mean, what is the point without photos? Well, I've now looked at some top blogs and I'm happy to say that not all of them have photos, so I can post every now and then without them. I went to a class on...

My own little corner: September 2009

http://mooneytwo.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

My own little corner. Sunday, September 27, 2009. The conversation was slow, but friendly, and eventually as we all conversed we learned bits and pieces about each others lives. We talked about James' career in the Navy, about the boys across the table and their trips to Iraq. We learned that the older couples knew each other because the men had served in the Air Force together some 50 years ago. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My cutie-patooti husband and me! My own little corner: Moonlit Stroll...

http://mooneytwo.blogspot.com/2010/01/moonlit-stroll.html

My own little corner. Saturday, January 23, 2010. Tonight I made James come with me to one of my jobs. The client booked their walk relatively late at night. Washington, as a whole, isn't very well lit so I used my girly weaknesses to appeal to my husbands protective nature. He agreed, grudgingly. Here is a picture of Kona and Sullivan. :) and a view from the house where they live. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My cutie-patooti husband and me! Chris and Lacy Allphin. My own little corner. Sunday, March 1, 2009. Updates and Manchester State Park. Well, I've been really neglecting my poor blog, since it's already been two months since new years! Where has the time gone? James is back out to sea, and I've been spending most of my time just hanging out with my new roommate! And this weekend we took a trip to Manchester where we saw: A deer, an eagle, a camel, and starfish! Here are just a few pictur. Es to keep everyone occupied! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My own little corner: Frisby - pardon me - DISC Golf

http://mooneytwo.blogspot.com/2010/07/frisby-pardon-me-disc-golf.html

My own little corner. Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Frisby - pardon me - DISC Golf. This weekend one of my best friends from high school brought his wife over to have a date night with James and I! Let me preface by explaining that several weeks ago, while mom and dad were here, we all managed to stumble on a Frisby Golf course located just a few minutes (literally like, 2 minutes) from our house! Huh Was I always this bad at frisby? Maybe $15 isn't so bad afterall. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I ride ho...

My own little corner: Wingers!

http://mooneytwo.blogspot.com/2013/12/obviously-i-havent-posted-in-awhile-but.html

My own little corner. Wednesday, December 4, 2013. So this year for Christmas we tried to go to Tennessee to visit James's family, but after long discussions and a hard look at our budget, it was clear that a trip just wasn't in the cards for us. We could, however, afford to fly them to us! We picked them up from the airport early this afternoon and then headed to Tacoma to pick up food at one of my favorite places; Wingers! I'm John." He shook my hand. Uhh, I'm Kara. Nice to meet you.". I looked at him ...

Maybe it's just my love for hang endings or the idea that I am leaving the rest open for people to discover by opening my blog! I don't know. Either way, I'm apologizing for my repetitive grammar. My own little corner: Support

http://mooneytwo.blogspot.com/2010/01/support.html

My own little corner. Friday, January 15, 2010. I am trying to write a book. I can't tell you the number of times I have spoken that sentence in my life. I have creative ideas and I love writing, but somehow putting my ideas into words leaves me with a whole bunch of jumbled, formal sounding ideas that isn't remotely like what I had in mind! After the first attempts failed, instead of scrapping the whole thing I took it from another angle, and it's actually not sounding too bad! But how long can it last?

My own little corner: August 2009

http://mooneytwo.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

My own little corner. Thursday, August 20, 2009. I was planning on writing a blog about my trip to the Pacific Science Center, but then I realized that while I'm sure it was exciting to me, how on earth does that help everyone else? So what if I got to see all sorts of Gross things and the Grossology exhibit, and that I rode a bike on a tiny little rail two stories above the ground (terrifying - you gotta try it). What's most important is what did I learn? I have one resounding answer. Of course it is&#4...

http://mooneytwo.blogspot.com/2010/01/maybe-overreaction.html

My own little corner. Thursday, January 21, 2010. Today while I was taking a dog to the dog park, James called from the boat. He's on Duty today, so I answered while driving to explain that I couldn't talk, and that he should call me in an hour. Well We have to talk honey, I've got some bad news.". Uh oh, What now? They are probably going to make me go ride another boat.". When he finally did call back - our conversation went a little like this. Well that told me all I needed to hear. WHY ON EARTH DID TH...

December 12, 2015. Finding God in the Garbage. God is funny. He really is, if we are created in His image and we laugh, then don't you think he laughs too? But God wanted to give this little girl a leaf blower. Because, honestly, that's funny. I giggle to think of a 70 pound girl hauling a leaf blower around. I laughed when she said she wanted one. God loves Ella more than I can imagine. And God wanted to give her a Christmas gift. So he did, in our neighbor's garbage. December 9, 2015. That means I need...
