Not Rocket Science: April 2006
http://notrocketsci.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
The underworked blog of an overworked resident. Sunday, April 30, 2006. Could our brows get any lower? Time Magazine released its "100 People Who Shape Our World" issue this week. Of particular interest to me was the "Artists and Entertainers" section. Among the honorees is George Clooney, for his good looks and the fact that he doesn't spread them around indiscriminately like some other Hollywood bachelors. We also see Reese Witherspoon. Why? Yeah, baby, shape my world! Periodical - can conjure only one...

Performing gruff sternal rub on patient's chest, inducing him to extensor posture - "Oh. It looks as if Mr. Johnson is herniating. Can we get the head of his bed up to 30 degrees and start mannitol, please? So, if anyone out there still reads my blog (thanks, Lemming Fodder. I appreciate your patience during these lean times. Though the realities of work ...

The underworked blog of an overworked resident. Thursday, February 24, 2005. No big surprise here. I could have predicted this result:. Personality Disorder Test - Take It! But really, why am I not asleep? Posted by Ian @ 11:46 PM. Great Balls of Fungus. Following his correct replies to my literary trivia and the receipt of his Kudos, Extreme Unction requested the name of a respiratory infection that could be obtained from living in a damp Irish boarding house. As per that request:. Well, since completin...

About broken brains, and a neurosurgeon's attempt to keep his own brain intact. Friday, January 06, 2006. I think George Bush should consider some better use for his time than praying for Sharon's recovery. Based on the information available, I'd wager this guy is as good as dead. lemming fodder: July 2005
http://lemmingfodder.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 22, 2005. I have decided that Not Rocket Science. Is my new favorite blog. Not because the content is the absolute best (although it is good) and not because there are pictures of scantily clad women (there aren't.Im just saying, if there were). I like N.R.S. because the author is just as much of a slacker as I am when it comes to updating his blog. This is when you realize that it was just a summer fling. Sorry dear, new season. Posted by JR @ 10:55 AM. Tuesday, July 19, 2005. Too much to do.

Not Rocket Science
The underworked blog of an overworked resident. Monday, July 06, 2009. It's been a while. And, I'm back. That problem, I think, is that people with little to no appreciation for the day-to-day challenges of taking care of patients are the ones making the decisions. We have career economists telling us how the finances of health care are to be managed. We have politicians and journalists (and economists) telling us that inevitable events can never happen. Why would this idea work? Posted by Ian @ 8:16 PM.
