Curve of Time: Fell.
http://curveoftime.blogspot.com/2015/07/fell.html
Friday, July 10, 2015. It was a decent read. It was nice to read about some familiar characters again, and see glimpses of San Francisco. It felt like this was a story line where too many things were happening, and that there were a lot of strings that needed to be pulled together before the story came together. Not completely satisfying. Pecking Order: 2015 booklist. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Scattered Bits and Pieces. The Left Coast, BC, Canada. View my complete profile. Books Lots of Books.

Sunday, June 28, 2015. The girl who wouldn't stop riding the train. even though she should. For me, this is a solid, average book. I enjoyed it more than Flynn's books (not nearly as dark of a worldview), but this is not quite how I like my crime novels. I am struggling a bit trying to describe how I reacted to this book in a snappy, quick review. Did I mention I would give it 2.5 stars out of 5? Pecking Order: 2015 booklist. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. B and I turned the last page of Harry Potter's The Deat...

Curve of Time: April 2015
http://curveoftime.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. Should I lament that this only a trilogy? If the Magicians was good. this book was even better. I have no idea how I truly ended up on a magical fantasy kick, but when the books are this good, it is hard to move on to other genres again. Pecking Order: 2015 booklist. Sunday, April 12, 2015. No, I think it was me all along. I am not quite sure how I stumbled along this one (trolling through the library lists perhaps), however, it was a surprisingly great read. This has been a lif...
Curve of Time: July 2015

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. This is an autobiographical work the follows two American college grads as they set out to experience the world. First stop, China in the mid 1980s. I was 13 in 1986 when Susie and Claire graduated and departed as they tried to locate their next selves with around the world tickets in their hands, a backpack, and big dreams. There are parts of this book that strike a chord with me - and easier to engage with than having recently read Wild. Pecking Order: 2015 booklist. It is funny...

Wednesday, May 27, 2015. The author that stole some of my time. This book had it's moments. When I went to blog about the books that I have been reading. it took me a few minutes to remember reading this book, and what triggered it's existence was checking out what books needed to go back to the library. Not really a good endorsement for this book. Pecking Order: 2015 booklist. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Reflections from "things I have learned in my 40s". Sunday, December 28, 2014. Starting off a year in review. In many ways, having this blog is like a quick reference of some of things that happened over the year. A quick check in to parts of my mental state. This has been yet another speedy year. It feels like the past two years have been intense - filled with many little shifts and a lot of learning. This is a start. Lets see if I take more time in the next week to expand on this. What do I want for 2015? I could also tie in helping keep my family healt...

Tuesday, June 23, 2015. The post Harry Potter reading world according to an 8 year old. B and I turned the last page of Harry Potter's The Deathly Hallows. Two nights ago. I am making a point of blogging this to help me remember when I am older, and grayer. Love it. That Universal Studios is going to create an HP land out on the west coast. AWESOME. Great timing! If you want your kids to read, especially boys, find what they love and cater to it. I wholeheartedly endorse this. I was trying to fin...Timel...
Curve of Time: Does this count as a guilty pleasure?
http://curveoftime.blogspot.com/2015/06/does-this-count-as-guilty-pleasure.html
Friday, June 19, 2015. Does this count as a guilty pleasure? This has been the year that I have joined the masses for some big name TV series that have nothing to do with reality TV. In March, I finally caved in to my curiosity and I started watching Game of Thrones. first episode, bloody and confusing with all the characters, second episode, things are starting to come together. by the end of that first season, I was hooked. Curve of Time: October 2014

Monday, October 27, 2014. I love this month. I have made it to another Treacherous Tea with my mom, and we took the kids for the somewhat macabre scavenger hunt at our local museum. Nothing like getting the kids to eat kitty litter cake after finding items like "Crazy Clara", the "Death Beatle", and "Raggety Angry". We made it out to the Corn Maze, carved pumpkins with some family a week or so back, and our cemetary is standing once again on the front lawn. It is hard to believe Christmas is less than tw...

Not So Crafty Mama
Not So Crafty Mama. Monday, January 27, 2014. Since I had a LOT of baby food jars coming in and out of my house, I was looking for a craft to keep the girls occupied over Thanksgiving and for a cute centerpiece for our table. We ended up making a handprint turkey and I think it turned out really cute! Construction paper, pencil, and scissors. Baby Food Jar (washed and label removed). Brown paint and a paint brush. Then she added a red and white pom-pom hat to it and called it a Christmas Peacock! I had s...
