Not so private history. Where history is oh, so very public. January 14, 2018. Public History Land: Review of the new Canada Hall. I grew up in Ottawa and luckily had parents and grandparents that enjoyed museums. My favourite museum was the Civilization Museum (now Canadian Museum of History) located across the Ottawa River from Parliament. So, when I heard that the museum was going to tear it all out, I was sad, and went to visit one last time. Good, emotional set up for my review of the renovation.
