Thursday, May 12, 2011. High school can also be a place of shear torture for many kids. Being bullied, feeling left out, ostracized, desperately wanting to fit in, but feeling like you don't. When you have Aspergers, an extreme deficit in social skills, and sensory issues, you can multiply that torture X's 10 (at least). The bottom line is he's tired of feeling like a little gold fish in a huge ocean filled with sharks. He's tired of swimming against the tide. He's tired of not having any real friends.

I had never been and I was looking forward to a change of scenery as well as seeing Tez' parents who we hadn't seen in quite a while. They, of course, made the trip wonderful. My little corner of the world. Monday, March 12, 2012. To love would be an awefully great adventure. I had known Tez for a while. There was that time we first met, where he helped me with my "dance moves" at a conference. There was that time we went on that "date". Aaaannnnddd that pretty much sums it up. Love didn't bloom that night, but a friendship grew. He was off of my radar for the longest. More than likely because he didn't give me the attention I wanted. Which, looking back, I am so thankful for.
