Living With DMD - Not The End. Put simply, this blog is a chronicle of living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Sunday, February 20, 2011. 43 Years Of Kicking DMD's Arse! After getting positioned in my wheelchair, one of the RNs came in and put a cardboard crown on my head. It was similar to the one you used to get at Burger King. I'm not sure if they still have them. Anyhow, the banner on my portable ventilator soon became my sash. I was king for a day minus the power one wields. I've spent a good...

Sunday, March 28, 2010. I've been awaiting a response on my journalism school application and last Wednesday I received a long white envelope in the mail from the university. My heart was racing as my nurse opened the envelope and began reading. She started saying something about congratulations and I let out a yell. Sunday, January 31, 2010. I find it funny every time I think an easy semester is upon me, it turns out to be the opposite. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be done with break and I look forward to the endeavors ahead. The new semester will continue to teach me many things and it should put me in good position as I apply to the professional program. Photojournalism will be my big challenge but I'm optimistic that I will become a decent photographer. We'll be spending the beginning of the semester learn...
