I was enjoying setting off the fireworks with Ellen and her dad on Chinese New Year eve In Changzhou until it started getting a little irresponsible. Even though we were in a safe place, I was really nervous when they started setting off the fireworks not even a foot away from the box of 10 other fireworks - including what looked like M80s. It’s kind of anticlimactic having a birthday so close to the spring festival (which is on Tuesday), because everyone is leaving. I made sure to schedule a little pre-bday celebration on Saturday so that I would for sure have some kind of tribute to my 25th year of life.
