Earthen Vessels: Electricity?
http://earthenvesselsgalla.blogspot.com/2011/11/electricity.html
Thursday, November 3, 2011. Expecting more than 10, so I naively thought we'd have power back the next morning, or at least sometime the next day. Well Sunday went by. We went to get the van and did som. E sightseeing. The devastation we saw wasn't too encouraging. Chris had taken Monday off. Tuesday Newtown was still 97% without power. Wednesday Newtown was only 73% without power. Today is Thursday, and they say they hope to have 99% of Newtown with power by Saturday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Kitchen Joys: Blueberry Pie
http://mykitchenjoys.blogspot.com/2013/07/blueberry-pie.html
Wednesday, July 17, 2013. This recipe is written on an old faded recipe card that was given to my mom years ago. It's been my mom's standard (and perhaps only) blueberry pie recipe. This past weekend when my sister's family came to visit, I made this pie from our own freshly picked blueberries. Everyone loved it, even my niece and nephew who claim they dislike blueberries! 5 cups fresh blueberries. 1/4 tsp. salt. Slightly sweetened whipped cream. August 5, 2013 at 8:20 AM. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Christianna has been staying with us for about a week while Chris is in India. We have been having a wonderful time together. On her blog, she has posted some results of her time with Abigail. I am so thankful for Christianna, and our time together. She is such a special friend and sister. I've been blessed to have to have her company, discussion, advice, help, affection and so much more. I love you, Christianna. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Source of Joy Graphics.

Earthen Vessels: Surprise Reunion
http://earthenvesselsgalla.blogspot.com/2013/03/saturday-we-attended-focus-on-india.html
Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Saturday we attended the Focus on India conference by CMML. It was a good conference, and Chris was surprised to see Moses Injeti and his son Isaac. He had spent time with them when he was in India, and I had heard about them many times, so I was glad to meet them. We had imagined that it would only be possible for me to meet them if we went back to India! Yes, the world is small among Christians! I am glad you were able to see them. March 7, 2013 at 12:21 PM. Kitchen Joys: September 2010
http://mykitchenjoys.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 30, 2010. Here is another summer squash recipe that I made to use up that surplus amount of squash. =) Everyone liked it; even those who don't care for squash! 2 teaspoons chili powder. 2 cups grated cheddar or Monterey jack cheese. 6 cups diced summer squash. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 1/2 cups diced onion. 3 garlic cloves, minced. 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh hot peppers or to taste. 2 cups diced tomatoes - we had picante sauce on hand, so that is what I used instead.
