The Four Paths Foundation. Volunteer Profiles and Journals. Known as the roof top to the world, Nepal is a developing Asian country situated between China and India. Roughly the size of Michigan, Nepal has a population of over 23 million people. Eight of the world’s ten highest mountains are located in Nepal, including Mt. Everest. Hinduism is practiced by over 80% of the population, though a strong Buddhism influence is evident as well. Approximately 76% of the workforce is employed by agriculture.
